Zarla, Experience Researcher and Strategist
Hello world, I'm Zarla, an Experience Researcher, Strategist and co-founder of Twig+Fish Research Practice.
I live in Scituate, Massachusetts.
Coffee or tea? Coffee.
What's your guilty pleasure? Peanut butter chips.
What is the most rewarding part of the work that you do? My job as an Experience Researcher and Strategist requires me to turn people-watching into a process that helps creative teams make decisions. I love what I do because I get to describe the things people take for granted - like workarounds they don't realize they have created to deal with a solvable problem.
As a consultant, I have had the opportunity to work on projects ranging from forklifts to toilet paper. I get to learn about people's realities in places I never expected to be. When I am embedded in someone else's work environment or home, I get a taste of what they encounter which keeps the work interesting.
What's in your Daame bag? 13 inch Macbook Air, Zojirushi coffee tumbler, Bose noise cancelling headphones, Cos jewellry bag with power cords, Muji sketchbook, Papermate flair pens, Chanel powder, small jewellry case (for when I want to take out my earrings to listen to headphones), lavender essential oil, Muji mirror compact, MISC Magazine, business cards, VerMints, Clean Well hand sanitizer (for the airplane germs!), Warby Parker glasses, and an Eric Bompard cashmere ponchos.
