Authentic. Mindful. Exceptional. These are some words that describe music teacher and ethical lifestyle blogger, Lauren Johnson. Living in the charming and historic city of Little Rock, Arkansas, Lauren focuses on awareness and kindness in all aspects of her life. One area in particular that she does this is through her blog, which she created to discover and share her passion for ethical fashion and capsule wardrobes.
“My goal with this site is to show that kind and sustainable dressing can still be beautifully chic, and that we should never have to sacrifice morals for style. I feature brands that care about people and the planet, and I love searching for beautiful products you can feel good about purchasing.”
Here, she shares her current go-to outfit for a day out with her sister.
Lauren expresses how a warm cup of coffee or tea with a side of intentionality leads to quality time spent with friends and loved ones. “I love how a coffee date puts us face-to-face in the midst of our technology driven world. Since my younger sister went to college, we love to go catch up over coffee or tea when she comes home over the weekends, and last weekend we headed to one of our favorite spots, Mylo Coffee Co.”
What are you currently listening to? Now that it's the holiday season, I'm all about the classic crooners like Andy Williams and Perry Como!
Coffee or Tea? While I love both, I'm not sure I'd get through the week without tea, preferably English Breakfast.
Why did you become a music teacher and what do you love about what you do? I began studying music myself at a very young age, and throughout my life my music teachers have had a profound impact on me. I'll always be grateful to them for equipping me with musical abilities as well as helping me broaden my mind and think about life in new ways. Having these wonderful people in my life prompted me to want to do what they did in sharing music with others through education. There's nothing like introducing others to the gift of music!
